Path to RV Ownership

You’ve envisioned the perfect getaway for you and your family. It looks a little something like this: waking up with a fresh cup of joe overlooking the horizon, hiking through the trails with your four-legged friend, enjoying a delicious homemade Mobile Meal, spending the evening with your little ones - laughing, playing games, enjoying a warm campfire - and waking up to do it all over again. Sounds like a dream, right? Well, here at Thor Motor Coach, we can make it your reality. Let’s break down the path to ownership.

1.    Browse Our Inventory

First things first, get an idea of the kind of motorhome that works for your family and lifestyle. We have a wide selection of motorhome classes, all with unique floor plans, color options, features and more. If you need help determining which one is best for you, contact our Coach Link® Sales Team. They can answer any questions that you may have and can even check your local dealer’s inventory.

2.    Visit Your Dealer’s Lot

Next, use our Dealer Locator to find one nearest you that carries your motorhome of interest. Once you’re there, you can take a tour, talk about pricing and financing information, and draft the paperwork to get you on the road. If they don’t have the motorhome with the same color and feature options that you would like, have your dealership contact their factory representative to place an order for a Build Your Own coach. Of course, this process is longer than driving a motorhome off the lot, but you can always reach back out to Coach Link for an update. Don’t worry, there’s plenty that you can do while you wait.

3.    While You Wait

We know that you’ve already envisioned what your first week will look like, but we’re here to help you along the way. While you wait, you should check out our How To Use Your Motorhome videos to know what to expect for your first trip. You can always reference our YouTube channel for helpful tips and tricks, including troubleshooting and Mobile Meal recipes. Check out our previous blogs for destination ideas, advice from Thor Motor Coach owners and so much more.

4.    When You Get Your Motorhome

One of the first things you need to do when you get your motorhome is to sign up for our web-based Owner's Resource. You’ll have access to important information on your motorhome, including factory-installed components and equipment, owner’s manuals and more right from your smartphone. If you have any warranty or other questions about your Thor Motor Coach, please contact our Customer Care team. Most importantly, get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!
