Ring in the New Year in an RV

Posted on December 31, 2017

If you're looking for a memorable way to ring in the New Year, why not park your motorhome someplace special? As an RV owner, you enjoy the luxury of being able to celebrate important holidays from wherever your Class A toy hauler happens to take you. Whether you drive it clear across the country or just a few miles away, there's a lot to be said for getting away in a gas or diesel RV. Pick up some fun tips for properly ringing in the New Year in RVs by reading on below.

A Unique Setting

Most people go to parties on New Year's Eve. Celebrating with a big crowd can be a lot of fun, to be sure, but there's a lot to be said for greeting the New Year on a quieter and more serene basis. Chances are that you've celebrated most of your new years from inside bars and banquet halls and the like. With a Class A motorhome, you can "set up shop" in all kinds of unique places. Whether you have a favorite spot in mind already or if you want to try something new, there's no end to the possibilities.

Get Party Ready

Decking the halls is a snap when you're traveling in a toy hauler, Class C motorhome or other type of RV. After all, you have a lot less space to make festive, so a little bit of effort goes a long way. If the weather cooperates, of course, you could always bring the party at least partly outdoors. Either way, make sure that you have enough seating for everyone, if you will be inviting others. If it's going to be a more intimate affair, this won't be as much of a concern. However, make sure that everyone will be comfortable.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry

Modern motorhomes include some pretty amazing features. If you have a well-equipped gas RV or other motorhome, you can easily whip up tasty treats and drinks for you and your guests for New Year's Eve. Get a few coolers and fill them with ice to keep drinks and champagne cold. Consider ordering some catered food from a nice local restaurant to up the ante a bit. If you and your guests enjoy watching the ball drop, have a TV ready to go so that everyone can do the countdown together when the time comes.

Make it a Tradition

If it seems like previous New Year’s Eves seem to blur together, it's probably because you normally spend them doing basically the same thing. One thing's for sure: If you celebrate New Year's out in your motorhome, you will never forget where you were at the dawning of that particular year. In fact, you might even consider making this a yearly tradition. Instead of attending local parties, hit the road in your RUV or other RV. You and your loved ones will have something new and exciting to look forward to each year, and you will forge even more incredible memories.

Whether you opt to make it a yearly tradition or if you just give it a try one special year, you are sure to enjoy ringing in the New Year in your well-equipped Class A motorhome. Starting making plans now to ensure the most memorable New Year's Eve in recent memory.
